Well looks like the sail panel had a slight issue when it was painted….
Some of the paint started to slowly separate from the body. After a few months, I has a bubble about 4 inches by 5 inches, with a split in the paint that exposed the primer underneath the paint.
Luckily I was able to find a really great painter out in Plainfield Illinois at Midwest Hot Rods. I highly recommend these folks. I had some of the body paint left over, and the shop was fantastic to squeeze the touch up work in so I had my car back in just a few weeks… And the work was fantastic! You can’t even tell it was touched up!
Here’s just a few of the cars they had in their shop. Really, really cool stuff happening here!
