Thomasville, North
Carolina
This car I got out of Tucson, Arizona in
August, 2002. Drove it all the way from Tucson to North Carolina
with no problems (luck, huh).
I have completely redone the
interior, the exterior, tires and wheels, transmission, engine.
This is a factory 289 V8, C4 trans car.
I freshened up the front part of the engine with new timing gear, water
pump, fuel pump, electronic ignition, carb rebuild, valve covers,
breather, Taylor wires.
The paint is single stage Sickins;
the graphics and gold leaf lettering was done by Jim Norris at
'Trick-Paint' in Wallace, SC. It has 64 Ford Ranger (deer feet) 14"
wheels; 235/60x14 TA radials rear and 205/60x14 TA's front. The
interior is grey tweed and the door panels were custom made by me. I
added a Sony 6 disc CD changer with remote radio.
I've been to Falcon Nationals in
Arlington,Texas, Turkey Rod Run in Daytona Beach, Falcon Nationals
in Carlisle, PA, to Shades of the Past in Pigeon Forge, TN and
numerous other road trips to local shows in NC and SC.
For a stock 289 with a 2v carb it
hits the road like a dream. Twenty gallon gas tank gets about 18-20
mpg.
