My Car - Snapshot!

August 2003
Welcome to the SNAPSHOT!!!!! section. Here, I will post new pictures of my car
as I progress
in my Ford Falcon restoration, with big plans for the future..........
Well this year has been nothing but busy on my side, so
something has to slack, and unfortunately its the Falcon...
However, some important things did get accomplished. All new brake
and fuel lines have gone into the car. Many thanks to Bill Newman for
bending up the rear brake line for me. It was a tough, aggravating job
but it came out great. For the fuel line I checked the sofa cushions
for change and ordered up a pre bent unit - quite pleased with it.

Did some sub frame welding near spring shackles in back, finished up
the new tilt column (write-up to come soon), created some trunk wheel well
boards using 16 gauge sheet metal and auto insulation (I consider that a
nice upgrade from the fiber board that originally was there.

After some hunting did get that missing side trim for the passenger
door via Brian Lucas - thanks much
Brian.
Got some fresh gas into the new gas tank and started the car up, with the
new tilt column mocked up in car. New fluids went into the power
steering system and others and so far no leaks have shown up - so far so
good!
My goal is to get the brake lines done, brakes bled, alignment
straightened a bit, a little electrical, the new front seats mocked up, and
the car over to the alignment/tire shop before snow flies. Can't wait
to see the car in its new "shoes"...
