My Car - Snapshot!
Time left until car goes into body shop for paint:
Welcome to the SNAPSHOT!!!!! section. Here, I will post new pictures of my car
as I progress
The wheel well shot shows a lot of work. Wire wheeling, degreasing,
grinding, POR15 and flat paint, seam sealer, and a new spring shield and
passenger side torque box. Many thanks to
Rosewell Falcons
for a great used torque box! It was removed from the donor car with an
acetylene torch, which allowed me to cut out all the spot welds and reweld
the box into my car at the factory points.
A quick coat of epoxy black trims up the cowl top.
The factory paint only painted the edge of the cowl where the shock tower to
firewall braces connect. The previous yellow paint job had the black
further up the cowl, which I liked more, so that scheme will be mimicked. Mike in Chicago |
